Migration Bird Walk

Migration Bird Walk:  Saturday May 24, 2025 @ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Meet at the Seneca Meadows Education Center at 7:45 AM, then we will drive to the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve.

We will walk for about 3 and a half miles in about 4 hours, looking for many migrants.  Migration should be in full swing.  We will expect warblers and other songbirds, waterfowl, waders, and raptors (especially Bald Eagles, which nested and produced fledglings last year).  And maybe a surprise or two!?  This could be a warm day and there is no shade to speak of.  Please bring hats, boots (especially if it has rained recently), water bottles, insect repellent, and sunscreen.  The trails are relatively flat.  The meeting spot is at 1977 NYS Route 414 in Waterloo, NY 13165.  Then we wil drive to 1712 Black Brook Road in Seneca Falls, NY 13148.  I have binoculars to loan out if you need any.  When you register, please mention whether you need binoculars.  Please register, which is required, on the right hand side of this message.  This is a free event, and people of all ages, birding abilities, and under-served communities are welcome.  For any questions or more information, please email to fred.leff@audubon.org or call (315) 539-5089 and leave a detailed message.
