Migration Bird Walk
Migration Bird Walk on Saturday April 18, 2026, Meeting at the Seneca Meadows Education Center at 9:00 AM
Please join us for a bird walk, beginning at 1977 NYS Route 414 in Waterloo, NY 13165. We will have a very brief talk about Seneca Meadows, Bald Eagles, and American Woodcock and then drive to the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve (1712 Black Brook Road in Seneca Falls, NY 13148). We will walk about 3 miles in 3 hours and should see many species of waterfowl, herons (and possibly very early egrets), potentially Sandhill Cranes, and early migrant songbirds, along with possible nesting Bald Eagles. Please dress for the weather, and if recent rainy conditions, wear waterproof boots. I will have binoculars to loan out. Optional: After the walk we will have snacks and hot chocolate at the Education Center. Recommended items to bring include a water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, and hats. This is a free event, and all individuals, groups, families with or without children, and those from underserved communities are welcome. Please register at the following link: MBW41826 | Montezuma Audubon Center.
