Late Migration Bird Walk
Saturday June 14 at 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM @ the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve
Please join us for a very late migration/breeding birds bird walk at 1712 Black Brook Road in Seneca Falls, NY 13148. We will walk for about 3 miles in about 4 hours, looking for many late migrants and listening for many birds setting up breeding territories. Several species will also be nesting by now. We will expect warblers, vireos, sparrows, and many other songbirds, waterfowl, waders, and raptors (especially Bald Eagles, which nested and produced fledglings last year). And maybe a surprise or two!? Please dress for the weather as it will be hot and there is very little shade. Bring hats, water bottles, insect repellent, sunscreen, and if wet beforehand, boots. For more information and/or questions, please email to fred.leff@audubon.org or call (315) 539-5089 and leave a detailed message. This is a free event, and even so, registration is required for planning purposes.
