Eagle Watch and Bird Walk

Eagle Watch and Bird Walk at the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve on Saturday April 11, 2026 @ 2:00 PM Meet at the Seneca Meadows Education Center by 1:45 PM
Please join us at the Seneca Meadows Education Center (1977 NYS Route 414 Waterloo, NY 13165).  We will lead an Eagle Watch and Bird Walk at the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve (1712 Black Brook Road Seneca Falls, NY 13148).  We will begin with a short talk on a bird topic and have light snacks.  We will walk approximately 3 miles in about 3 hours to observe our nesting Bald Eagles, early migrants and breeding birds such as waterfowl, Herons, Swamp and Song Sparrows, possibly early Warblers and Vireos, and possibly Sandhill Cranes and a few shorebirds.  The trails are relatively flat, but if there is rainy weather prior to the walk, waterproof boots are recommended.  Sunscreen, water bottles, binoculars, and insect repellent are also recommended.  I will have a spotting scope and feel free to bring your own as well.  This is a free event, but registration is required for planning purposes before April 9, 2026.  The form is on the following link EWBW41126 | Montezuma Audubon Center.  All people are invited, including those from under-served communities, families with or without children, and groups.  For more information and/or questions, please email to fred.leff@audubon.org or call (315) 539-5089 and leave a detailed message.
