Build A Kestrel Box
The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon in North America, but you wouldn’t know it by its call; the loud klee-klee-klee rings far and wide, distinguishing this falcon from its community members. It’s usually found near open fields as it searches for small mammals, reptiles and insects.
American Kestrels are cavity nesters that like to breed in dead trees, cliffs, dirt banks or Kestrel boxes. To build your Kestrel box, follow these instructions. Happy building!
