5k Race for Hunger – Finger Lakes Premier Trail Run
We had a great race this year! (See all race results on the link below.) Our overall male winner was Joseph Northup, age 16, with a time of 18:01, and our overall female was Colby Kidder, age 15, with a time of 25:17. Great job!
Every year, we see something wonderful at our 5K. This year, we saw Dr. Peter Gregoire, age 71 of Romulus come in 12th overall with a time of 24:07. Incredible!
A big thanks goes to the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance, the United Way of Seneca County, Kevin Korzeniewski, Dave Jodeit, Rick Huntington, Missy Neumire and Yolanda Iannapollo for helping out with the event. This was our third, annual 5K event at the Seneca Meadows Wetlands Preserve on Black Brook Road site in Seneca Falls, to benefit local food pantry, the House of Concern.
The unique features of this 5K are the stone dust path course and the surprisingly beautiful landscape of native plant species in this created wetland in the heart of the Finger Lakes. This course is USTAF certified. Race Map
